Oren's Forge is one of my favorite comics for raw realism and surprise twists. Though some of these twists can include the sudden death of a character that seems to be getting well established in the story.

Oren's Forge is fantastic. Not just as a "furry fandom comic", but as a comic in general. I put it right up there with my favorite comics, period. Totally worth reading.

Roses for avalon is a well paced epic. The art is awesome. I could say the same about the rest of Falcon's comics, but this one is my favorite.

totally understand! I've been trying to convince myself to work on my comics and visual novel games. Reading some that I've seen from others has really helped me with panel placement but I really need to work on my backgrounds :/

Thank you. I appreciate the extra links. It is amazing to me how many artists I've come across who want to draw a comic but never want to read comics. I enjoy comic theory and the whole process of it all. I want to see how other people chose to convey a sequence and how layout effects eye flow and emotion. Comics can have so many moving parts. Seeing how other people put together those parts is helpful.

I LOVE comics. I grew up on manga and webcomics and have been trying to get myself to focus on ONE idea haha. Have my next comic of 20+pages all sketched out, I just gotta... put the time into it outside of the sketches bah. Like you said, there is a lot to think about to make sure it doesn't get too overcrowded and can be easily read and draw the viewer's attention. Plus the story has to be good. Your's have always been interesting to me! I read your SLOP comic alongside JACK and a couple of EWS' work back in the day with all the other random things that I read.

I reread the whole comic again directly before posting it here. His question reminded me of it, even though it has no sexual themes unlike Nandavanam House, it is that good.
Should have also mentioned it is complete and can be read in 3-4 hours.

I'd recommend  Sanssouci's Travel Log, which is also being made now. You're probably already watching Sans though, hehe!

But just a warning that it will probably never be finished, at least in comic format. She recently ran a Kickstarter to produce novelized versions of the story, and once those are complete any incentive or drive to finish the comic will be gone. But at least fans will get to find out how the story ends, if they don't mind reading a book.

Unfortunately ending unfinished is a common fate of a lot of (perhaps most) furry comics. Doing comics is a tremendous amount of work, and you really don't make any money at it unless you do porn and put it on Patreon. Then you can make oodles of money. Some of the comics mentioned above are good, but they update so glacially slow they won't be finished this decade, if ever. Others have gorgeous artwork but abysmally awful writing and pacing. Being a furry comics fan is not for the faint of heart.

You definitely speak the truth here. I am not trying to make money so that helps me. I do want to tell some enjoyable, sexy stories. Am fortunate that people have been enjoying it--thought measuring success isn't always easy. I hope my comic threads the needle in a way that makes it worth reading and worth waiting for each new chapter.

I probably won't finish SLOP though. Nandavanam House should be around for a while. I'm not trying to tell a grand story though.

Hmmm... "Beastars" for all who haven't read it. At least the first two story arcs, which are fantastic. The world-building gets kinda silly after that and the plot armor gets crazy thick.

Also... for TRUE pervs... "The Maid Wants to Be Taken By Her Master"... One-shot isekai where a girl ends up in a world ruled by animal people and she's bought by a big dog guy. The expected happens. ;D

I read a bunch of manga, but only a tiny number are 'furry', and maybe 2 are raunchy. Most 'hentai' I find really dull. Oh! There IS a kinda interesting one "The Great Snake's Bride" about a huge snake that marries a village girl sent to him. And eventually they have mutant babies.

The thing I enjoy most about your comic is how realistic it feels. From the warts and all art style to your diversity of real looking anatomy and how the sensibilities and even the speech of the characters is period.
