Agreed on the 11, it's pure sheit but Windows 10 will be end of support on October which equals no security patches. Just a fair warning.

Only issue with most Linux distros is the lack of driver support with tablets for drawing. So Artists often cannot switch so easily.

Plus lack of software. Common tools like Clip Studio or even Paint Tool Sai are not compatible, and force you to have a license or subscription which is tied to Windows.

Yep, one must spend some time to figure things like that out and it is bothersome indeed.

I like Linux and have tried it many times, however I depend heavily on Clip Studio Paint and there is no way to use it on Linux.

I have used Krita and other programs, however, where I have more experience and it depends on all my work is Clip Studio.

However, I'm still trying to adapt to using Krita and other programs. They're quite good and powerful.

Oh also, Douglas. You don't need to jump to 11. Windows 10 LTS is a thing which should give you a few extra years if you prefer. It's been quite the life saver for those in a pinch who really don't want anything to do with 11.

That's exactly the version I used. Windows LTS Lot It has official support until 2032. I got an OEM key from a website and activated it.

The price seemed fair to me, I hope I don't have any more problems :3

Nice, I don't believe you absolutely need a key as unactivated Windows just slaps a watermark on your desktop. Purely cosmetic to my knowledge.

None the less, glad it's working out for you and GL with Krita! It's on my radar as it appears to be quite powerful once you spend enough time in it. It's on my to-do list, just not there yet.

I've thought about going back to Windows 10. I originally upgraded to Windows 11 since I figured programs would eventually require having Windows 11, but I've had so many weird bugs with the latest version of Windows 11 that I may just go back to Windows 10 until that starts happening.

I honestly haven’t had many issues with windows 11, I upgraded personally and my work also rolled out deployments of it to 3000 machines.

It’s more fully featured. You can tweak the UI and make it look like windows 10 if you want , though it does take a bit of work.

It’s also more secure in general.

I loved w10 of course , but 11 isn’t all bad.
