Take #2, "Summer Vacation" story comms announcement!

Okay, for real this time!! Summer Vacation Themed Story Commissions, batch #1 opens next week, Friday May 2nd 2025 at 8pm BST
My sincere apologies for having gone back and forth on this twice within the span of a few weeks. Earlier this month I announced my plans for my next batch of themed short story commissions, based on the general prompt of "Summer Vacation". Then due to some family stuff that suddenly arose which required my help, I announced the batch was postponed, expecting that the situation would require my time/attention for the rest of the month and possibly into May.
Well, to spare y'all the frustrating details, the situation resolved itself much quicker than expected. Which while very annoying as I changed a bunch of plans under the assumption that it would go on for substantially longer, means I am indeed going to be able to work on these stories throughout next month! Woo!
In a very slight change to my original plan, since I'm gonna give y'all some notice/time to prepare any ideas you might have and open for these commissions on Friday 2nd May at 8pm BST rather than this Friday as I originally expected, I'm only gonna take on 15 stories rather than 20. But I'm also gonna take on a batch of 15 at the end of May for completion in June too! And if at that point there are still folks who wanted a themed story but hadn't got one, I might take on an extra batch in July too, since short stories are a good thing for me to work on in the summer months when my home office starts getting too spicy to be inhabited for the majority of the daylight hours.
Other than that, the details are the same as before, so I'll share the info from the previous journal.
What does the "Summer Vacation" theme mean?
It means that each story should take place during the summer season, and should feature some vacation or holiday aspect to its setting or plot. This could be the characters going to the beach, the local park or pool, a resort, finding themselves in an exotic or naturally beautiful locale, or just relaxing at home enjoying some time off work. Really so long as it incorporates a summery vibe, anything goes. And of course, that should play into any lewd shenanigans that occur! :3
What will I get if I buy a themed commission or two?
Each short story will be roughly 2000 words long! For that, you'll be able to put forward a few main characters (there's no hard limit, but keep it reasonable so the whole story isn't just me introducing 15 characters, haha), choose the setting/location/situation that makes the commission summer vacation themed, and what you'd like those characters to be doing in that situation.
Of course it doesn't 'have' to be lewd if you just want a cute chill beach scene or something, but it's more than welcome to be XXX rated. ^^
Just remember that as these are short stories of around 2000 words, your idea should be able to be summarised fairly quickly/simply, otherwise it's probably too complicated for this sort of short commission. <3
How many commission slots will be available in this themed batch?
I'll be taking on fifteen stories for completion in May, then a further fifteen at the end of May for completion in June. If at that point there are still other folks who wanted stories but hadn't been able to grab one, I'll open for a third batch of fifteen for completion in July that only folks who didn't get into either of the first two batches will be able to claim spots in. :)
How many slots can each commissioner claim, and can I reserve one now?
It'll be a maximum of two slots per person, just so there's room for a bunch of different people to grab a story. And no, slots will be open to purchase on Friday May 2nd at 8pm BST, not before. Until then take the time to think about if you'd want a story or two, and what you'd like them to feature. That way when the time rolls around, you'll be able to snag your spot or spots immediately. :3
How much do the stories cost, and how can I pay?
Each short story commission will be £25gbp, that's a £10 discount on the usual price I charge for short story commissions as a thanks for taking part in these themed batches, which hopefully by now you know I love to do every few months. :)
Payment will be taken after you have claimed your spot/spots in the batch and we have agreed on the details of your commission, but up-front in full via Paypal before any work begins. As always, I'd appreciate it if you'd try to ensure that you're able to provide the idea and then pay for your commission within 72 hours of the commission batch opening, so I'm not spending a whole week afterwards on admin rather than actually writing for y'all. :D
Are there any limits on what you can write for these stories?
Generally speaking, so long as any stories containing adult content feature characters who are all fully consenting adults (18+), and so long as the vibes are generally positive (I'm not the biggest fan of writing darker, more violent or depressing content), I'm fairly open to writing a lot of different stuff. That being said, I do have a will not/cannot write list you can check by clicking HERE!

I'll post another journal reminding folks of all this stuff a week before the batch opens, but for now you're welcome to start brainstorming for your ideas if you're interested, or imagining what others might get written based on the theme if you're just looking forward to reading what others folks grab. :D
