Hey guys!
I'm slowly starting to think about publishing what I have done so far of my 'Bubblegum' comic and I need some insight! Both from people who would potentially like to buy it but also if there's any of you artists who have already published independent work, I would be most grateful! :)
I was thinking of publishing the first tome after I wrap up chapter 3 and I think this will end up being around 130 pages give or take. If I wait and publish after chapter 4, then it will consist of around 200 pages, which makes it pretty heavy I think (but hey, maybe it will get some more spicy moments in ;D)?
I need your opinions on this :) How big do you think is better? I kind of hope to also feature some fanart and work on my characters from other artists on the back as well as maybe aa few concept sketches.
Do you think it's a nice addition to a comic book or should I maaybe publish a sort of 'concept artbook' later on and include the character concepts, comic characters art in general, comic related sketches and perhaps also some process of how I work on my comic pages? :)
I also kind of want to maybe throw in a poster I will prepare especially for this occassion... Maybe like signed copies and stuff, idk if that would be of interest to any of you? :O
I am pretty sure I will need to start a kickstarter campaign to make it happen so I will see what sort of extras I can offer :) But please also let me know what kind of extras would you be potentially interested in <3
Standees, stickers, keychains, posters, signed copies of the book?
Hard cover or not?
I will definitely also be DREAMING of making like a Rey plushie at some point, but for now it will definitely remain in fantasyland :D
All feedback is welcome! β€ I am just brainstorming ideas for now to know how to plan for publishing <3
Also just as a warning - this comic will eventually get explicit in its contents. It's not all drama, it has adult topics that relate to what I normally draw in my art ;)

Thank you so much for your insight and for your feedback on my comic. I love reading your comments and see how differently everyone approaches each character and their interactions. I am very happy it raises mixed feelings toward situations and people in the comic! :) Thank you for your love and excitement for the new pages, it motivates me each week to push muyself to the limits to try and make it on time along with working on commissions, writing and editting the future content and still make it on time for dinner and an evening with my family. β€
And the biggest thank you to all my faithful Patrons who make the comic possible at all :)
Special thanks is due to Xionix and Zelmra, my wonderful proof readers, as well as the most engaged and active of supporters: SimtheLegend, Sylvar, Obsidian and Chee β¨
I am truly blessed and I can't thank you enough!

Also yes to hardcover please and thank you, and getting a signed copy of the comic would be totally swell! Also also, I'd kill for a Nero standee/figure/plushie. :3
She has been a long time comics publisher for YEEEEAAAARRRSSS. And she publishes in both printed and digital formats for distribution. She might be able to give you some tips on crowd funding, shipping and publishing formats suited to you.
I do have a running Patreon and I think that by printing my comic and having a publisher sell it or even present it at conventions it would expand my reach and further help develop my project ^^ it has been my experience with everything else in this Fandom and I am positive I can make it work :)
As for publishing, I would actually suggest checking out: https://imagecomics.com
They have published the "Rat Queens" and "Monsteress" both wonderful comics, and both are very mature in rating. As they do have nudity, sex and some fairly gory action. Magic and swords tend to lead to messy scenes. They also published "Sunstone" whish is a lesbian BDSM comic, also really good read.
The worst they are going to say is "no". You might have to not show actual sexual insertion, but they certainly don't mind full nudity or lipstick marks at certain locations.
other than that if you need to think about it imagine selling one to your self.
If you want a great printer with nsfw content then hit up Mixam. There are some furry publishers that can also print your work and sell it at conventions, but personally you donβt get great quality from any current ones out there (not that this is a dig at them! Itβs just a fact) So, better to have them printed for you privately then sell them wholesaler to folks who can resell them for you at conβs and shows and so on. There also may be local printers that can do it too, gotta check around as nsfw/furry content tends to be hard to get done.
Start small! Do a run of 50, pre-order/sell them, then send them out to get a feel for the size and scope of the project. Itβs a lot of work, hell, more than most people could ever imagine. So do something small to push interest then look into larger stuff! That way you can get a feel for a printer, and the logistics.
I love sketches and concepts, but prefer them in a collected book! If your book/s will already be massive, then it may be best to keep concepts into its own volume. Iβd say shoot for smaller page counts to save on print costs and shipping.
I have years both in printing, and a lot of friends and comicers that can def give some help if you have specifics!
