As the title states, I got hit with major vet bills the past month. One cat has has CKD for two years now and entered kidney failure in November. She's still hanging in there with a good quality of life when paired with monthly pain management injections, but last month had an anal gland rupture that, of course, required treatment. About two weeks later I noticed my other cat had a hard growth on his chin that grew very quickly and took him to the vet... sadly turns out it's 99% likely to be a very aggressive cancer. We did a procedure to get a biopsy but sadly the sample was inconclusive other than telling us it is improper bone growth, the lab recommended another set of samples deeper in but his jaw is too fragile for that. We are very closely monitoring his quality of life but... well... I'll be honest, I think the time is short...

All the vet bills have already been paid for, but at this point about 2.5k (1.6k for the x-rays and biopsy surgery alone) has come out of my savings to cover it and I doubt that is the final total of it.

I'm not the type of person to ask for donations because that feels... weird... I would rather earn it through work.
