At this point I'm wondering if Furaffinity is ending soon....

Transferring tons of data from a failing NAS to one that isnt takes ages depending on the backend storage. We have clients with only 128 or so TB on their servers take over a week+ to transfer to a new service when upgrading/migrating. This is also compounded by the fact if the backend storage is "tons of little files" (so..tons of artwork, text stories, etc?) it would go even slower.

Then again this depends on the hardware specs of their backend storage node(s)

Well! If one TB could take a week to transfer, then I'm now estimating Furrafinity could take at least a whole year to finish! Honestly with how much there is on here.... I mean I hope not, but well...

They have the problem X did with the rampant pedo shit that infested the site for a while (particularly in a localized area of the world), but unlike X they don't seem to have the tools or willpower to fully address it. So, it's something of a moral/ethical disdain for that site. That and it's insufferably, radically left wing, which is its purpose as a leftist twitter/X clone. The rampant circular firing squads that form are simultaneously amusing and infuriating. Social media, in general however, is cancerous, imo. I can barely tolerate Facebook and that thing is rather milquetoast. So, the hate is not really abnormal, depending primarily on your political alignment, of course.

Bud, where have you been going on Bluesky to see even a lick of that? I haven't seen even implication of that, certainly nothing "Rampant". Maybe it's a personal thing?
