So I recently watched a video about monster nomster, and that game just makes me sad. The player character is just poofed into existence without any sort of origin or past memories. To top that all off, the random encounters. You have to unalive friendly creatures just to gain power, and they seem OK WITH THAT?! I know probably nobody will be able to relate, but I just had to scream this into the void, just for that slim chance the void might scream back.

Let's call this phenomenon "The Numberblocks Effect". (If you want a serious name, let's call it "Something From Nothing".)
