My boyfriend and I had to say goodbye to our precious cat today. He was a son to us, a true member of the family as I’m sure many other pet owners relate. The loss weighs on me so heavily. We loved him dearly. I lost apart of me alongside him.

We nursed him back to health 5 years ago, and we were lucky and fortunate enough to have given him another 5 years of love and life. I wish it could’ve been another 5. Even another day. But he’s safer now and no longer in pain. I know we made the right choice; out of love and selflessness. Even knowing that… the pain is a blight on my heart.

I have a few commissions I owe— I will get to them ASAP. Thank you so much for your patience. I’m grateful to be apart of this community. Death is apart of life and I’m glad to be alive because I got to meet our beloved son. It’s better to love and lost than to never have loved at all.

Rest in peace, Kippen. I will never forget you. I will never stop loving you. Thank you for being a part of my life and teaching me so many things.
