The numbers aren't an equation, they are a cipher in a way. 1st number = Chapter, 2n number = word in chapter, not counting chapter title etc

Ahhh, I thought it was more of "Choose which number you'd think would be the correct one to go with." I didn't see it as an equation, I just saw it as "Here are the numbers provided to the users, choose which one you wish to go with."

Weird, considering I did read the first chapter of that story, but never knew there was a code/secret contained in the story I was looking for.

It's throughout the whole story, the order of the chapters for the puzzle is Chapters 14, 9, 11, 13, 2, 7, 5, 15, 1, 8, 16, 10, 6, and 4
