Healing up!
Its been a little over 4 months since the accident in January, and I am doing pretty good. I can walk now, albeit with a limp! I'm getting physical therapy too. I still have quite a bit of swelling on my foot and managing it can be tough.
I'm someone who needs to be pretty active and doing things and sitting around babying my leg isn't something I enjoy. I've always got something going on and I think the activity helps me heal/walk better.
My physical therapist says really that my range of motion/tendons/etc are really good, I just need to build back ankle and leg strength... so I am working on that as I can. Its really a matter of endurance... there's only so much pain you can put up with before you just get really tired of it
I have new empathy for the disabled for sure though. So many things become challenging. Like I said though, the good news is that my healing is ahead of schedule. I see the surgeon/doctor next month to make sure all my bones are growing back the way they should.
Stay safe out there!
