This has been a long time coming. For years I’ve been building up my dream to become a full-time artist while balancing it with the 9-5 grind. But sadly, the grind has been cutting more and more into my time and changes within the job have been making my future there uncertain.
So Ive decided to cut loose and become an artist full time under AnansiDragon Illustrations!
I’ll admit, I’m a little terrified. This isn’t my first attempt to make this leap. I’ve had close calls and encouraging moments, but nothing quite stuck. But I’ve also spent over 10 years building this community, this art, this dream. And I know I can’t keep putting it off waiting for a "perfect" moment.
From now til the end of June I’ll be:
-Building up a larger inventory of physical merch (prints, stickers, etc) to sell at cons and online.
- More focus on developing my OC’s and the worlds they live in.
-More energy into more adult themed works
- Start making comics for future releases
-Develop my roadmap to support this new career path, and ways to connect with this community that I've grown to love.

Then from July on I’ll cut ties with my current job and start working on art full time. If things work out after August, then I’m on the right track.
