TLDR: We are waiting on their mouth to heal from dental work before starting radiation. Chemo has been going on for about five weeks now and they are now loosing their hair. Things are rough.
Most of my updates have been on GoFundMe. Things are still rough on our end. Radiation hasn't even started yet due to their dental work not wanting to heal. They had three molers removed and while one side is healed the other side is being very stubborn. They keep having to nip off parts of bone to get the gum to heal up.
Chemo therapy is on week five. This therapy is specifically to stunt the growth of the cancer and hopefully even shrink it down. When radiation starts the doseage and type will be upped and changed. The side effects are starting to appear and Jules has said its more annoying than anything. They've been getting heart burn instead of nausea, hair loss EVERYWHERE, and the exhaustion is random and mainly physical.
My paychecks range from $200 to $400 depending on the week because some days they need me more than others. And on Tuesdays I go to chemo therapy with them. I managed to get FMLA thankfully, but it's unpaid. May need to get a few YCHs going to earn extra money.
We're basically having to hurry up and wait and it's frustrating.
Plus, on my end I am going to need a major surgery by the end of the year. My gynecologist found PCOS, Fibroids and is 100% sure I have stage 4 endometriosis due to my belly button bleeding out every time I menstruate. So, I'll need an excision to stall for time and then a total hysterectomy once Jules treatment is over and a few weeks out from it.
Juggling everything has been difficult, but I'm so grateful for the support I've received. If you want more consistent updates check out the gofund me. (We had to desdname Jules for legality sake) and you can find other ways to help here: https://linktr.ee/bee.wainright?utm_source=qr_code
Hopefully there will be more positive updates in the future.
