I was somehow able to download split fiction on steam, but I can't find any gift messages in my email.
I am just asking here to see if I either ordered ahead of time and forgot, or if someone is being very nice.

it's basically so only one of the players needs to purchase the game. I don't think you can play the friends pass version without a purchased copy to host the game.
