I don't get art very often and when I do commission people I usually do it for other people or to help them financially. I also haven't always gotten art from the people I've commissioned (they need the money and I don't need the art) and I just think very often "I can draw it myself, why get a commission?"

But then I get something, a gift art, a request, or someone does pull through from those rare commissions... and even if they might not be the most skilled artist in the world and it looks a little wonky, I get so excited and stare at it for a long time, it makes me really happy and also makes me realize I don't care if God turns me into Picasso, when I have a million dollars you bet I'm gonna spend thousands in art

I've actually saved ALL of the art that I have ever gotten into a folder even if I got it like 10 years ago.... I wanna do something like print some stickers out of it or frame some of them even though they're just sketches 😭
