Don't ever think you're disappointing someone just because you prioritize your mental health over them, rather you should feel proud for doing that, try to think why are you doing this, if it's for others to praise you, or to praise yourself... Even if that work doesn't get the appreciation from others, you can do it yourself and think that you did a good work, and that's enough. Not all the good works received the respect they deserve in the same day of diffusion, and that's ok, not all the people have enough brain to understand the hidden meaning behind you work, so, don't call it quits just yet... Burnout is rough. Only do as much as you are comfortable with, and if it's none at all, that's okay. Karstenator put it very succinctly! No need to apologize for standing up for yourself.
