St. Paul MN protest went forward despite the assassinations of State Rep Melissa Hortman & her husband (both dead), as well as the shooting of Senator John Hoffman and his wife. As of right now however, both John and his wife are out of surgery and in "Wait and see" conditions, so it's not known yet whether they'll survive their injuries...

How is this not top headline news? I had to do a search for Melissa Hortman just to find anything about what happened. Holy shit...if nutjobs are going to start murdering politicians they disagree with, I fear this country is going to actually devolve into civil war.

No lie, I'm shocked to hear that it's not... That's... disheartening to say the least, but ultimately not surprising either... main stream media is in the pockets of a good number of politicians, (even some of the "left" leaning ones.) and those politicians are in the pockets of the 1%. I'm sure the news will break cross country sooner or later, since most places were mainly covering the protests specifically.

Fortunately John and his wife are in stable condition last I checked. Unfortunately, the shooter, Vance Boelter is still at large.

The killer is a long time Drumpf supporter, and opponent of abortion and LGBT+ rights. Great way to be "Pro life".

Oh 100%, and as you'd expect, the trumpanzees are trying to spin it in such a way that "Because he worked with Walz at one point, he's a democrat", thankfully he was caught yesterday. His wife was also arrested saturday evening with cash, a weapon & ammo and passports in her vehicle at time of arrest. So there's no doubt in my mind they both were planning to flee the country.

I hadn't heard that last bit yet.
