Eh, I think it might come when starting to just doodle something random. Most of the Darkners are essentially just random objects/stuff/things that follows around a theme from the Dark World surrounding them/originate from...(?) *Shrug*
I have never tried making Darkner characters. I love Deltarune, but I haven't been enough invested to make something that truly counts.

I have done tons of research and you literally just explained what made it so appealing to me. The fact that all of these designs are just objects brought to life and the entire world is built upon a fantasy of whoever made the fountain is a brilliant idea
