References and other artists' cameos/easter eggs are pretty interesting, to say the least. I kind of like them.

Not really, especially if you're crediting or linking the owners of the characters. It can be pretty cool to see different peoples' characters interact or have crossovers.

I mostly credit when the character is like very evident and a big part of the drawing. when it's a small easter egg, I like leaving there and see if someone comments "hey I see the character there!". you think I really should credit even when it's a small easter egg like a doodle or a toy? ya know, I think like telling they are there kinda breaks the magic of it lol

I don't think it is, I like seeing cameos and Easter eggs of other peoples characters in the work of others. I think stuff like that, cameos and crossovers, are fun

I mean, as long as it is just out of appreciation for those who inspired you, I don't see the harm in it.

Granted, I'd still probably put like a mini-blurb in the description if the cameos are pretty noticeable

Not really, it does help spread the awareness of other artist some more lesser known then others
