They're not actually bringing it back, what they're doing is readding it to the browsing system but having it basically act as a tag filter.

They are "working" on reverting it back because they have to code something to change it back. They way they did it made it non reversible.

Tags are fine for sure, but that requires typing. Browsing requires specific clicks that makes it easy to use on any device.

That is what I am arguing for, yes. I prefer browsing with the drop downs. Without it "searching for hyper will be awkward now". |D

I don't know why they don't just keep the drop down as-in, have the usual gender selections in place, then also allow you to type in custom genders that will be saved in memory like the current search bar for quick and ready access. Everyone wins.

Their process of the tag system, forcing tags, and removing drop downs is a process of making things worse. Relying on the community to use tags properly or at all will be a disaster.

Tinfoil hat time, but it almost seems like it being on this month in particular is them trying to win internet brownie points. And like every group that makes large sweeping changes for the sake of such a thing, it just upsets the majority that they already had. You see it more and more these days, and I cannot wrap my head around it. *shrug*
