A poison gas one like maybe a gas leak or WW1 gas attack one. Maybe a gas mask failure for the impending doom/peril aspect.

If keeping with the bear theme, climbing a tree to escape, but the bear is a better climber than assumed.
Trying to swim away from a faster aquatic danger (shark, lamprey, water snake, etc)
Mob boss threatening u for info with a trained pred (tiger or smth idk), when you relent ‘get his ass anyway’

Vore with the predator being a prey species. Rabbit, deer, you're in their gut, how could you get ate by somethin like that?~ Now you're just gonna be fat on 'em~

In terms of drowning ideas/YCH, getting stuck is a pretty common occurrence! An old YCH of mine was getting tangled in cables in a flooded cabin. You could also have getting stuck under trees in a flash flood, or, getting stuck under glass/ice/in a tube.

Medical situation involving something like an injection that paralyzes the lungs or some other paralysis thing. Or like a ventilator with some kind of non-oxygen gas?

not really a new idea, but I'd love if that first sinking ych you did were to open back up.. would've loved to get it!
as for a new idea though.. i really like the idea of a factory setting, like tour of a glue factory or something gone wrong and either falling into a vat of it and sinking, or just getting so much of it stuck on you that it blocks your airways.. lots of options with other substances too!

Double Drowning! Stuck in underwater mud that is very quickly consuming the poor person trapped under he surface, as well as the water drowning them too!

Some potential fun peril ideas:
- A snail slowly starting to swallow a character tangle in a rope trap
- A character having fallen into a slime, and desperately trying to pull free
-A character having been lured into a plant or similar by a sweet scent, possibly with a second character already inside
- Fantasy themed, with a character already in a belly repeatedly failing to use magic to escape
- Star wars themed, being pulled into a Sarlaac pit!
- Being eaten by some kind of electric Pokemon/Pal/creature after being shocked and paralyzed by it!

A submerging YCH where the character is clawing at the surface of whatever substance their sinking into
Or
A character that was tossed into a hole thats being filled with a substance (Tar, cement, clay, etc)
