I hear you on all of this, except I am kinda really excited about the new year! Think about it: a whole new year, a whole clean slate. Try and view it in that respect <3 :)
Try and think about all the fun things you want to do in the year: even small things like drawings you want to do, or games you want to get and play.
Re-watch Red Dwarf (maybe that'll inspire you too! *thinks of the pea comic!*). Watch some old cartoons on YouTube, particularly classic ones like Tom & Jerry etc. Look up some Beatles videos. They'll make you smile ;)
Consider yourself lucky for your time off, too. I've been back to work already and it's terrible! I wish I had more time to kill!
As for fun online things...hmm. I've been pretty much lurking the Cheezburger network online lately because I'm tired of doing the same old thing. At least there's always cute cats & dogs to look at on there!!
Save some fun bookmarks - I've done this. I have a 'SQUEE!' folder where I can go when I feel blue online. Cute Overload! I <3 It! Lurk around for cute animal pictures/inspiring pictures :)

I know what you mean about time off, but I think you've had a similar thing, when you had a week off but couldn't quite get into the swing of 'free time'? It's a little weird when you don't usually have much at all to suddenly get a lot, and it's hard for me to just RELAX. But I'm able to a bit now. I'm used to rushing off for the train 7am every morning! XD I almost feel guilty about free time, ha!

I think when I get back to my place, a spring clean and maybe a MAKEOVER is in order. Not a big makeover just a haircut, maybe some new clothes like you say ^^ something to make me feel better anyways!
