Since the whole gender marker stuff on Fur Affinity has been altered slightly it made me think about this feature just in general and how I use it: Basically if my character is a guy I will list them as male and if they're a lady I'll list them as female. THIS DOES NOT IN ANY WAY IMPLY THEIR GENITALS WOULD LOOK A CERTAIN WAY IF I ACTUALLY DREW THEM. This both applies for factors like being transgender and/or intersex.

I'm bringing this up just so if I ever release that game I have planned no one tries to be like "Oh Wendy can't be trans she's listed as just female on Furaffinity rather than trans female". You absolutely are free to have whatever headcanons you want about them I just (usually) can't be arse to determine what sex traits my characters had at birth. What's most important is who they grew up to be ya know.
