Custom Thumbnails not Working???

Stellar, signing in. -VI-
So I uploaded two pieces of art that both contain spoilers, and I wanted it to be covered up by a Spoiler Warning image so people wouldn't see unless they explicitly clicked, and used it as a "Custom Thumbnail"... unfortunately that's not working (or at least not the way I believed it would?).
Hopefully, spoiler warnings on my userpage should do... for now at least. I will need to find a way for that Spoiler Warning thumbnail to come up. Maybe the custom thumbnail thing is something different? I don't know. Help would be appreciated.Stellar, signing out.
