Had a pretty bizzare experience of someone asking for a YCH slot, not responding to my note then hiding their comment and blocking me within the span of like 4 hours. I'm left confused wondering why, what I did wrong, and why they couldn't even offer me the courtsey of speaking to me as a person beforehand...

Please only claim a YCH slot if you're actually serious and have read the post properly. If you have questions or you're unsure just send me a private note, my notes are always open. But if you're going to leave a public comment claiming a slot only to run off like that it just wastes my time.

If you change your mind, fine, but the fact that someone would just block me without even speaking to me feels so dehumanizing. I'm not here to be thrown away as you like. It's also very immature. I'm obviously not going to name this person but I just expect to be treated with some amount of respect and if you feel like I've done something wrong or you want to back out I see no reason why you can't just comminicate that. If you like my art and you want a commission, I'm available to answer your questions.
