https://www.furaffinity.net/view/55619625/ VERY SAD NEWS IF YOU LIKE LATE NIGHT TELEVISION:
NEWS:

2: www.comingsoon.net/guides/news/2004.....olbert-ending-canceled
It was a news that I did not want to hear. If you like staying up to hear such comedy and such thoughtful news from such hosts at late night, it is numbered. To hear that the Late Show is going to close is a total understatement. It could happen to the other networks as well. You can see that CBS's late night showings are the youngest out of NBC, ABC, and very rare: Fox. If you do see the news I poste-the link above, you'll need some answers to why the Late Show is going to cancel, if it is really political. The thing that is going on is well, political. It could be Donald J. Trump having to cause such things that will make talk shows a thing of the past.
It is evident that Stephen Colbert is quite to the left on the political spectrum. But it is quite clear though, that as it is, CBS looks at it as a money-saving solution to ax late-night shows. There's always a way to find a good reason than to be just curt in saying so. In the articles I've read about the cancellation of the two shows, including "After Midnight," I couldn't find a definite reason why Late Show is going - I can understand "After Midnight" -there are as of now, reruns since Taylor Tomlinson left. Before I heard the bombshell of "The Late Late Show" host James Corden leaving and Corden's deep, dark secrets, I liked watching; well, it's not going to happen that I may see any more late-night shows on CBS. Too, I don't think I would enjoy watching CBS anymore after May 2026. I'll still see "Let's Make a Deal" and "The Price is Right," though. But other than that, nothing else, unless it is game show specials.
It is also said that the show, "The Neighborhood" is going to leave CBS as well. So then, it seems that there's going to be no more multicultural shows that are comedic to watch in prime time. It may not be direct, but I feel there is what our government is doing that's making these multicultural shows not show, and they want to no longer put up any of the left or right talk shows up anymore. To me, TV is getting boring, and to see these things happening, I may not want to watch any more, even with cable.
It can be that I could see "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" when "The Late Show" and "After Midnight" cancel completely. But that could be the only thing left in reality. I don't think I could enjoy "The Tonight Show" or "Late Night with N (Seth Meyers if he stays)" on NBC. Should be that I will be watching TV with all of you in a convention suite for late night? I wouldn't really do so- I would ignore and rather dance while in session, especially if it is an extra day before or after.
Truly, if you ever heard of Adam Schiff in that episode when this journal was posted, he does need an investigation on why. We could understand that he said he feels that the current president is invoking fear on every thing and everyone- therefore, we are losing things that we will enjoy, especially when getting such information and even our laughter.
I felt that CBS has caved in to what our current administration has done. As there was a lawsuit, CBS-Paramount ("60 Minutes" incident) has decided to settle without going to court. It's going to be the other networks that will do the same as well so that they will save their hide. And it is soon that PBS will be in trouble as the Corporation for Public Broadcasting ( www.cpb.org ) is going to lose funding from the government, in being a public television station; and in radio, NPR is going to suffer as well. If the 45th and 47th President sees that he's been attacked or humiliated or lets his opposing party get the better of him, he'll to get revenge; he's such a crybaby, really!
Seeing this happen, CBS has lost my interest. After 2026, it's just "Let's Make a Deal" and "The Price is Right." I won't be even looking at the "CBS Evening News" (and in some stations, "Plus"). So if it is me watching, I'd rather go for "ABC's World News Tonight". I could try "NBC Nightly News", but that is it - if CBS is not going to be standing up for itself and acting as a coward, it has lost my interest. Very soon, I'll try to attend a show over at the Ed Sullivan Theater to see Stephen Colbert for a first and one last time. It will be a memorable one, and I hope for the best. CBS is going to be a distant memory for me, and with what has happened, it's unforgivable and it's a sad end.
