Desire for community
This is a little bit of a vent post, partially just me ranting about being frustrated with my own social incompetence. I am a neurodivergent person who struggles to enter public social spaces without putting this super heavy mask on, basically eradicating my personality in favor of being marketable to the average person on the street. I deeply desire community but struggle to find it.
Beyond that, I'm getting into music, and getting into music has been so so fun. I'm into making glitchcore/hyperpop/glitchpop/EDM generally, I take a lot of inspiration from artists like VyletPony and PentUpPup, but I struggle to find a producer community. I want to meet other weirdos who are into music like me, who would be willing to share their stuff with me, to listen to my stuff, to help me learn the things they know that I am missing. I want to meet friends in the furry community who are musicians. But how do you do that? Do you go into producer spaces and go "hey I'm a transgender furry please be my friend"?? Or do I go into a furry discord and go "Hey does anybody here make music I want to be your friend"?? I don't know, maybe I'm missing something. Here's to the future and to hopefully meeting new friends. Here's to music.
