I really hope not, but just to be safe, I'm reaching out to find people on other platforms. Unfortunately, like Discord, that means doing this dumb age verification just to speak with them again.

Hopefully if FA does get forced down this road, it'll be a simple (if stupidly unnecessary) thing to prove that yes, I really am an adult, and then the inconvenience will go away.

I've had a VPN for years now and it does help, but I'd be worried sooner or later that may even stop working.

Not saying I agree with it or anything, but for me so far, it's just been a kind of mild inconvenience. Most sites have allowed a selfie verification which only takes like 20 seconds or so.
