Like, "holy shit, we're teetering on the edge of 1984" kind of trouble.
I can reasonably say that I've never been happier to not live in Europe right now. The UK age verification law is goddamn dystopian. But of course, the US isn't immune to this shit. We're also dealing with banks telling us what porn we're allowed to watch, so that's pretty fucking cool I guess.

Call your senators. Tell them, in no uncertain terms, that support for this act is vital to free speech, and we won't accept anything but a resounding "YES" to the Fair Access to Banking Act.
Call Visa and Mastercard. Remind them that they are not government entities, they do not make laws, and their only role in business is to make sure money gets from Point A to Point B.
Don't even bother talking about Collective Shout, to be honest. They are the smokescreen. Payment processors have been planning this for years, and a conveniently-placed activist/fascist group is only the cover for it. Yes, Collective Shout is 100% evil and shouldn't be allowed to exist, but they're not the source of the issue.
Keep creating. Don't let prudes and boardroom cowards dictate what you fap to.

Unfortunately the anglosphere has always been the vehicle for neoliberalism.
