I mean that's just what socialism inevitably winds up in.
It says one thing, but what it is is what really matters.
I've stopped defining things by what it claims to be, and I've instead chosen to define things by what they wind up as.

Fascism at least has the characteristic of nationalist pride. Socialism is just fascism but without the fanatical devotion to the nation. Socialism is fascism but the nation hates itself and pretends that its authoritarian tendencies are to correct its own undeserved feelings of guilt. Socialism is fascism but without the honesty.
