Welcome to my thoughts! Watch your step!
Thomas Andrew 'Tom' Lehrer, 1928-2025, July 26th. He was 97.
When Kissinger won the Nobel Peace Prize, Lehrer famously stated that satire was dead. He later moved his entire catalog to public domain.
Rest in Peace.

The Hunting Song
Fun fact. He had a little quarrel with an Austrian musucian, Georg Kreisler, who made equally biting songs, as both had a song about poisoning pidgeons in the park, and each of the two claimed that they were the original inventor of that song. There'll be nobody present at the wake.
With complete participation
In that grand incineration,
Nearly three billion hunks of well-done steak.
Oh, we will all char together when we char.
And let there be no moaning of the bar.
Just sing out a Te Deum
When you see that I.C.B.M.,
And the party will be "come as you are"
I have a piece of dialogue based on the lyrics where the 'it' in question is a Christmas fruitcake.
