I don't post here on FA often, but something has happened that I simply don't want to keep quiet about. It started out as any normal day. I wake up, shower, get ready for work, and then leave at a good time to make it on time. Well today, that routine was tested. Because when I got to work, I discovered that the police had blocked off the area because of an active shooter threat. It happened before I got there, so I am not hurt, and at the time the police had apprehended them, but I had to find another way in.

My roommate and I putz around for about an hour before they gave us clearance to enter and get to work, so that's what we did.

There wasn't anything too eventful for the rest of the day, but when I got done I found that there were three confirmed deaths, and at least three more injured or in critical condition (including the shooter himself, as he had been shot by the security team and a local police officer)

Needless to say, the mood of today has been a real downer, but I'm doing alright.
