Reflections on ArtFight
Well I managed to survive my first ArtFight so I'll call that an accomplishment in itself. XD Originally I *was* planning on making a drawing a day but goodness did I underestimate just how draining some of these pieces could be. Then again that's my fault for insisting on making so many full character pieces with actual scenery. If I do this again, I am definitely going to do a lot more simpler pieces like headshots with simple backgrounds. I must say though 8 pieces is a nice showing I like to think, I even got 4 in return. I never thought I was going to get that many pieces as a complete nobody and newbie to ArtFight. O.o I will say I was deeply honored and flattered and made sure to repay the favor with a piece in return.
The fatigue is why I am opting to skip Smaugust this year unfortunately, need a break from things like prompts or making stuff for other people and just draw what I feel like for awhile. I am still hoping to do Weretober perhaps this year, need to practice my humanoids though if I'm going to. I do feel like I've improved a lot since the start of the year and am hoping to keep that going overall.
Until next journal everyone, take care and hope you're doing well.^^
