What media helps cheer you up?

“You must stay drunk on writing so reality cannot destroy you.” ~Ray Bradbury
If I’m not listening to any of the hilariously funny podcast episodes of Midnight Burger, then I’m basically gonna look for anything comedic or uplifting, whether it’s a film I’ve watched a hundred times or random clips from legendary sitcoms like Golden Girls and the like.
What about you?
What about you?
I really need to listen to Midnight Burger. I hear it's really good.
And I really gotta recommend Midnight Burger to you. This show really takes off in the 2nd season, and it becomes a storytelling masterpiece in the 3rd and 4th seasons. I’m already eagerly waiting for Season 5 to premiere this autumn.
What is Midnight Burger? Now I'm intrigued. :o
Midnight Burger is a comedic sci-fi podcast about a former restaurant owner named Gloria who’s desperately looking for work during COVID-19, and finds that job in the form of a time traveling, dimension-spanning diner that’s full of colorful characters. Think Doctor Who, but the TARDIS is replaced with a vintage diner.
Gotcha, good to know! & thanks for linking the 1st episode! Sounds very interesting!
If I'm sad or depressed, nothing helps more than music. My mix usually involves lots of rock including Collective Soul, Aerosmith, and Jimmy Eat World.
If I'm aggravated or mad, laughter is the best medicine. An old sitcom like Seinfeld or Golden Girls helps. Or MASH. Or newer stuff on YouTube (I enjoy Daniel Thrasher's style of comedy. Or "Fire Department Chronicles).
