Just Watched Twilight For The First Time

So I've never seen the Twilight films, ever. And I've also never read the books either (not a huge book person), but I randomly decided that I wanted to know why Twilight was as big as it was. I've heard of the series many times before, but it never got spoiled for me, so I was able to really absorb most of it for the first time.
Though the vampire skin sparkling totally threw me for a loop. I've never heard of that at all before watching these films. But I guess if they stuck to tradition, then he would've just died when his skin touched the sun lol, then there wouldn't be a story.
But honestly, I enjoyed these films a lot more than I was ever expecting. The first one was garbage, that was a rough watch, and even the second one is a little rough as well, but the other 3 are actually enjoyable. plus, I'm a sucker for a happy ending, so I was glad to see that no one actually died.
CGI baby was weird, and the time between Bella meeting Edward and her marrying him + having a child also moved wayyy to quickly for my liking.

Why is it set in high school?? why not make them all legal adults and then do all the romance stuff? they made Jacob 16 at the start of the movie T^T. Why not just base the story in college?
I believe Jacob would have been better for Bella, but I think she and Edward look better together as a couple lol. plus, some of the things that Jacob did throughout the movies kind of threw me off a little bit and made me not like him as much.
All in all, I'm glad to have watched them all. there were some cool characters, learning about the Cullen family was fun, all the different vampire powers were nice, and there were many more big-name actors in it than I ever realized, which was a surprise.
Will I be drawing fanart of Twilight? probably LOL

There are so many wild fan theories about Twilight online that can be entertaining to get into. I look forward to any fanart you may post hehe

But I totally agree with your opinion on it being over hated. I went into these movies with the mindset of it’s gonna be garage and the worst movies I’ve ever seen because I’ve heard so much bad stuff about it, but it was nice being pleasantly surprised. Of course it had its moments lol

But, Thank You OMG I know people that think The 1st movie was good. NO, ITS GARBAGE AND TERRIBLE.
THE BOOK IS THE ONLY REASON IT SUCCEEDED.
Also New Moon: Book 2, was fucking terrible...mainly because of how it ends. Just, I never felt bad for a guy who put in so much work, just for it all to literally mean nothing, because 1st BF SUDDENLY came back after breaking up with her..."for her safety"
Im team Jacob Purely for that reason.
And...Funny enough, I saw Part 3: Eclipse as my 1st movie. Some Girl Friends I had convinced me to watch it with them and a few other friends. I was expecting to FUCKING HATE IT.....turns out. The movie was actually pretty great! It had a plot and conflict outside of the BS romance.
And that convinced me, to go back and watch the 1st 2 movies......big fucking mistake.
And....for the sake of "Finishing what I started"
I gave Breaking dawn Part 1 & Part 2 a chance....ugh.....Part 1 is a fucking slogg
And The Beginning of Part 2 wasnt much better....but the Later Half was real good IMO...yes Im a guy, I just like fight scenes. But I remain firm, it was the only part that mattered.
