That's such a cute YCH but it can be really difficult in general to fill up a multi-slot piece like that.

Many other artists have no problem with this. Even I had no problem with this before (and it was SFW works). But back then I drew very cheaply and poorly tho.
Anyway, it was an overly ambitious project from the start.

I think the bigger issue is less that its a 'multi-slot' piece, and more that its a multislot piece that requires you to buy two slots, or you are getting actively paired with a character you know nothing about. your art is gorgeous, but the cost for a single slot is steep for me, atm, let alone a second so I would know who I am being paired with in a more intimate setting.

big YCH's seem to be very difficult to fill... I'm in on a few and the slots aren't filling up at all. I even went and got 2 for myself and one for a friend and still nothing else filled. It is such a cute one though!

This YCH is adorable, flat out, but I get the impression you feel discouraged about this still not being filled, which is unfortunate. As others've said: it's one of those situations where potential buyers have to be willing to either take two slots, or slots that presumes person-A knows Person-B they're coming to see. That's shopping for couples mostly, which narrows the pool as opposed to solo strangers having a good time. Now a number of dynamics're also going down right now with our art these days, not the least of which being our viewers and engagement have dipped noticeably on FA over the last several months and entries are getting less traction. YCHes are tougher to fill unless the right people stumble upon them (As  lukafennec said above).

But even so, well... I can think of two alternatives if you'll pardon my suggestion: I'd honestly put it to those who've committed to slots on this and see if they had their hearts set strongly on what they wished to see, and maybe just give them a cut or crop for themselves? Otherwise, perhaps fill the remaining slots with your own creative creations? I can understand why that'd be unpalatable given you created this as a project to do for others but... scrapping such a beautiful scene just feels like such a waste to me.

That's all, and no matter what you do I hope it works out in your and your clients' best interests. Mayhaps something more intimate down to four or even two might work in the future. This was/is a big project for you and I know I appreciate you making such efforts, even if not everything pays off. It's worth it to make the attempts anyway!

It looks like the target audience is limited to those in a relationship, and who have a partner who both can pay and who also shares interest in getting art. It's a really sweet idea, but in most scenarios there is probably going to be one partner willing to pay to get something nice for their lover rather than both of them being willing to commit so much money. My bet is the problem is in the strategy rather than the concept. On a more interesting note, the different pricing here may give you an idea of what people are willing to pay for something like this. If you plan your workload around a target price that you know people are willing to pay for a concept like this, then it might be easier to make the work to profit ratio worth it, even if you have to limit yourself on the piece. I wish you luck figuring it out.

I took a look and unfortunately I think I can see part of the problem. I've seen this said - and said this myself - to many other artists the past year or two now, the economy is in a bad state, even lower-priced YCH's just aren't going as easily as they used to.

Now, mind you, your pricing is in EUR not USD so I don't really know how it works out, but I know that USD being as bad as it is certainly effects things regardless of the exchange rate due to how the cost of everything else changes. But, from my perspective, the price of a single slot on the linked YCH is nearly doubled in my currency. From 210 to 410, it's not really an amount I'm personally willing to spend.

Again, that's nothing wrong with your pricing, that's just the world we live in today. Economy's shit. Don't take what's happening to heart, it's not a failing on your part. Also bear in mind I could be flat out wrong, and it's more likely it's what Niko and Rin said, that it's a couples thing.

Its a beautiful YCH and I wish I could afford it, but its sadly out of my price range -.- Hopefully you can get the last couple slots sold!
