About the world of my OCs

So... you have stumbled upon this profile and wondering what the hell most of my stuff is about. Don't worry, I've got you covered.
Almost all of my OCs belong in my fictional alternate Earth, where there is a a type of creature known as Mimics.
These Mimics look like living inanimate objects and have various abilities - the most common of which is the ability of disguise, rendering themselves perfectly indistinguishable from other inanimate objects.
In their "undisguised" forms, the Mimics' range of motion exceeds that of whatever they're made out of, allowing some extremely fluid motion, even if a Mimic is made out of stone or metal.
They almost never expose their undisguised forms to humans, except in very dire circumstances. The Mimics' goal is to watch over mankind and ensure its survival via small interference.
Mimics often gather in abandoned buildings, leading to many reports of the buildings being haunted by alleged supernatural forces.
More info will be revealed in further posts.

Well you’ve got yourself a watcher for sure now. Love the concepts here and this setting…yesss.
Part of me wonders if there’s mimics who go rouge, but that’s another post I’m sure.
