A simple request
Some of you may noticed, the CYOA status is no longer a pinned post; because the status is 100%. Snow In Summer has entered Alpha testing phase. So, in preparation for release, I make this request; if you like it, favorite it. If you know anyone, anywhere who might also like it- drop them a link to it. I am the Unsung Writer after all; I generally have zero human contact so the interactions here on my content is as close to interacting with another living creature as I get. So obviously my own ability to signal boost the story is extremely limited. Obviously if you don't like it, don't favorite it- I am not telling you to just pity favorite to boost numbers. But if you do like it, remember to favorite and/or comment, and if you can, signal boost it to others.
This project took an entire year, or even two depending on where you want to draw the starting line. In terms of actually putting the actual story together- yea, a full year. Of such dedicated work that I haven't played a video game really in over a year, I haven't sat down and watched a show or movie in like two or three years. Working on this project has essentially been the only thing I have allowed myself to do. Sometimes requiring 16 hour programming sessions that trail so far into the following day that the sun is already up again by the time I can sleep. So, as you can imagine; I want to give this the best chance I can to reach as many people as possible. Alpha testing will take about a week, roughly at least, to ensure everything runs smoothly before dropping it into full release.
Just trying to entertain people with a story/game, and give people the happily ever after the real world clearly has no interest in giving them.

The CYOA will have plenty of endings so it will have a bit of everything. 5 tiers of regular endings, 14 different bad endings, 192 variables of the ending sequence that leads up to said endings. Honestly some of the Bad Endings aren't actually bad, lol. The Perfect Ending is a bit of a low blow though- given its name most people will think its a great ending, but, its name is more a statement on how you have to do to unlock, rather than the mood of the ending itself. The Perfect Ending is darker than some of the game overs, lol. But the Absolute Ending makes up for it!
Bad Ending(s) (you fail the heist, but don't necessarily get caught/die)
Bittersweet Ending (you steal the Elder Stone but get caught on the way out- Paige finishes what you started)
Happy Ending (you steal the Elder Stone and get away with it)
Perfect Ending (reveal what happens after the Happy Ending, and face the True final boss)
Absolute Ending (realize the Elder Stone wasn't the biggest treasure there, and steal what cannot be stolen.)
The story was definitely built to be beaten multiple times. Like the ending sequences- it goes through 10 completely different scenarios before switching to randomly selecting them, but also adding 2 more to the pool it draws from, making 2 rare sequences. But when you get to the end of the story there is a 50/50 chance you even get a sequence in the first place, it could be the final boss instead. So if you wanted to see them ALL; you'd have to get to the end of the story at bare minimum 12 times and that is assuming you get insane luck in drawing a sequence every time. There are 6 unlockable coins that basically act as trophies for beating the game using different stat builds; these act as the primary unlockables and getting at least 2 is what unlocks the Perfect Ending. So, to 100% the story and unlock the Absolute Ending you would need to beat it 6 times at least, bare minimum- and that is assuming you already knew how to unlock everything right off the bat, which... most people won't, lol.
Luckily unlike my first CYOA; this one does have a save system, at the library at the start of the game. So as soon as you enter NG+ and return to the library, you can save/load your progress. And thanks to a little loophole created in the story's plot; ALL endings are canon endings.
I don't see it under your quick links, the Snow in Summer post in your gallery is just an image from 3 years ago, nor is that a link here in the post. If I missed something, my bad!
>"Alpha testing will take about a week"
It hasn't been posted yet because it is being tested for bugs / quality assurance. I estimate about a week, could be sooner... could be longer if I find bugs. My testing will be a playthrough to 100% the game myself once. If I can do that without anything breaking, I will assume it is good to go. I am the sole person working on the project so Beta Test phase basically doesn't exist. It will go from Alpha to release and I will just have to keep an eye out for anyone reporting bugs.
When the full release comes out it should be easy to spot- I am going to post an image with a link in the description, and a mini story with a link in the description, and removing all links on my user page and replacing it with one to the CYOA, and replacing my PFP, and my banner, and my profile page image, and changing my username.
