Distraction carousel speeds up.

Karno's Rare-Because-He-Never-Has-Time Blather:
So one side effect of Team Trump's dismantling of American governance (turns out cruel acts can be blamed on both stupidity AND malice), just to appease his hurt widdle feelings, is a massively ramped-up need to distract us from this shit-avalanche.
When a Texas fella is sitting on the roof of his flooded-out house, and FEMA is not coming, what will keep him from thinking that maybe Trump all but shutting down FEMA, was a bad idea?
And I imagine that people who've had close family kidnapped by ICE aren't too enthused about that either. And how about all the small businesses facing bankruptcy because of Trump's tariffs?
So when the oligarchy's media try to get you to swallow distracting brainworms, here's a simple question you can fight back with: "WHY SHOULD I CARE"?
You should care about climate change, because it can make you a refugee, or even kill you. And being dispossessed, even killed, is bad.
But, for example, the "Trans issue"? Pfft! Who cares? So some guys like to think they're women, and wear dresses and makeup. So what? Does that break my leg or pick my pocket? It does not. I have no reason to care.
And if a hairy lummox gets in your face, loudly demanding "correct" pronouns, and suchlike? That's not a trans-woman. That's an asshole. So... just call them an asshole. It's a nice, non-gendered word, that accurately describes 'em. Problem solved! If you can even call such a cheap distraction from real issues a problem.
As for women presenting as men, there's long been a word for 'em: Bull-dyke. I know a couple, and they're fine folks. They're not spending any of their time and energy on destroying the country, as far as I know. Y'know, like Trump and his idiot toadies unabashedly ARE doing?
Go ahead, try applying the "Why should I care" question to the other issues occupying your brain. Your job? Yes, you should care, as your job provides the money that keeps you from starving in the gutter, hopefully.
Your spouse? Yes, you should definitely care about them. If Mama ain't happy, ain't nobody happy.
Furry fandom? Heh! A bunch of arrested development weirdoes wearing bunny pajamas? Harmless. Don't spend any clock-cycles worrying about them.
....And so on and so forth. See how it works?

And Team Trump treats us like shit.
It's not about men imagining that they're women or women just being butch.
No one needs to talk about people disrespectfully, and ignoring the facts about trans people is just ignorant, and just ends up spreading trans hate.
And you have me blocked, which means that it's against the COC to contact me. I've mentioned this to you before. If you'd like to talk to me, unblock me. I've noticed that we frequently agree on things.
No "close" family members have been "kidnapped" by ICE.
No business will face bankruptcy because of tariffs.
First off, that's not part of the (democrat controlled) news propaganda right now so nothing even close to it is happening.
When ICE has gone into residential areas in near full military regalia and grabbed people from their homes, or gone into schools and taken kids out, or gone into retail businesses and taken people, not a single person taken is someone's loved one? They recently arrested some firefighters while they were fighting fires; no one cares about those people?
And the tariffs, which are both known and proven to raise the prices on imports for the businesses here in the country, aren't even slightly likely to force some people out of business due to costs?
You *really* believe this?
they didn't go far enough, the federal government is far too large and should never have gotten this big.
minimum about 80% of the government should be gutted, and the power they had given BACK to the states.
https://www.brookings.edu/articles/.....al-government/
They also cut or restricted a lot of things they probably shouldn't like FEMA and the service that tracks and reports on hurricanes, and the parks service personnel. A lot got cut away without actually reducing the government at all. And now that money is being repurposed for frankly stupid things. They want 2 billion to beautify Washington... after cutting it's budget by 1 billion and putting them in a financial hole. They trying to distribute military to places that don't want or need them... instead of just increasing funds to local law enforcement.
This is why that whole thing was a shitshow. In the end all they really did was put some people trying to make a living out of work, without really affecting the size or stupidity of the government at all.
All is said. You can be LGBTQIA++ and trans all you want, but remove people in education that'll push kid toward it just because Timy likes to wear pink or play with Barby dolls, or because Sandy is a tomboy who likes to play soccer.
There are real cases of gender disphoria. I knew one 20 years ago; before the word "trans" was known by the average Joe. But unless something in the water increased it's occurences thousandfold, the kids are not really this.
Kids are sponge, they'll become what you want them to become. Just look at celibrities, nowadays everyone has their trans kid. How many of these kids have gender disphoria ? Not many ; how many risk regreting their parents pushing them toward this ? Probably too many !
... >w>... But that goes against the transphobic narrative some people want to pitch. Since... Y'know... Their politicians who lie to them told them to hate those people... So they spread lies given to them... And it becomes a memetic hazard...
I've studied transgenderism for a while now... And yeah, kids can be trans. 'w'! HECK! It's really obvious to *ACTUAL* child psychologists, but these armchair psychologists who have a degree that comes from 'I googled it' university seem to think they know what they're talking about. They also only delve into 'research' that is from THEIR biases, which 98% of the time, isn't peer reviewed, or has poor study standards, or small sample sizes! They would rather have false research that fits their narrative, than face the truth!
There have ALWAYS been trans people and trans kids. Just because more kids today are lucky enough to have understanding parents doesn't mean that there is an explosion in the number of trans kids.
No one is making or convincing any kids be trans, and kids getting treated for dysphoria are quickly sorted out from any kids who only might be "Going through a phase".
As I've said before, people who don't understand this need to keep their noses out of other people's genitals, and let the kids, their parents, -provided they're lucky enough to have understanging parents- and the doctors and psychologists who actually DO understand it.
We're reaching an age of understanding things, and people don't like that, they don't like realizing everyone is different, because they were told to be 'normal'. They don't want to be 'weird'. Everyone IS Weird! 'w'! I don't care if you think you're straight and narrow, you have some form of trauma, some form of disability, or some form of quirk that makes you different, or 'abnormal'. Being weird -IS- normal, even in nature! It's how evolution happens! Without being different, you don't evolve and grow and become better! There are many flaws that come with it, for example, we didn't evolve wings, so we can't fly, but we found a way around that because some weirdos wanted to fly! It wasn't normal to want to build flying machines, it was quirky and weird! But some people just want to be 'normal' and fit in with crowds until they die... I don't fault them, but they shouldn't force that on others.
Your trust in the education system, and human in general is admirable. This thread mention school staff telling kid to "stick to themselves" to maybe trans kids ; I don't see why the opposite wouldn't occur, with enthusiastic staff convincing Timmy it's not just a phase. Conservatives, progressives, neither side is necessarily full of perfect people with integrity.
How about contacting the parents at signs of Timmy or Sandy being the wrong gender so they handle it ? Instead of hiding it to them ?
Be carefull if you decide to put the state in charge of education instead of teaching ; it might seem swell to make these kid the state's kids for now. Until the state's ideology goes into a direction you don't like ; for an example see Trump's current mandate. Wouldn't it be great if the Federal Government was much smaller and with limited powers when he tool control of it ?
Do you have even the slightest idea of how danderous it could be for a trans or gender questioning kid to be outed to an unsympathetic parent? That's a plainly ridiculous idea.
No kids are being made "The State's kids".
The current ideology of the Drumpf government is ALREADY dangerous.
Inform the parents. If the father erupts in anger and goes berserk, grab the kid and put him/her in a foster familly. I bet that extreme case won't happen often. You know, there would probably be quite a few tearful Holliwood moments "We don't like it Timmy, but your happiness is what counts".
It could well be too late for a kid on the wrong end of such a decision.
The decision on this should CLEARLY be up to the kid in question.
there was a story going around a few years back about CPS, after bein' taken to court literally went up and took the judge's children from her.
dunno how much of that story was true, but they've done some horrendous things.
But yes.
'Keep it to yourself is not the same as being vilify' Incorrect. This is a false equivalence to my statement. Vilification can include "You cannot do this" but it can also include "This is not normal, we do not want to see it" in it. There are ranges. In the case of transgender, it is being vilified in the same way it was in Nazi Germany when the studies for transgenderism were burned and the researchers killed, and all the trans people killed or otherwise sent to camps. (Sound familiar?) But it is also vilified in schools (I worked at one!) where some staff will see a trans kid and say the trans are brainwashing kids and they should 'stick to themselves'. This is incorrect, the child isn't brainwashed. Some do go through phases they grow out of, just like me wanting to be a dog when I was 7, but some are seriously suffering gender dysphoria. Like my autism comment above, it's now being easily diagnosed that we have the tools to do so! We see signs of dysphoria as young as 5 in some kids, but sometimes it doesn't peek out until later due to the input of the parents or those around the child.
Moving on... "Expect other people to just accept whatever it is" Hahahahaha, you're one of those 'keep everyone in the closet' kinds of people. Woooow, okay.
>w>... *peer* "Guidebooks to having sex with your housepets" The fuck galleries are you talking about, real life bestiality content has ALWAYS been against ToS, and I've been here (on another account) since the the roo founded the site. There's always been people in the fandom who saw zoo as taboo, it's why it's been pushed out in recent years as the fandom grew. Are you sure you're not thinking of Furnet? That IRC server back in the day had a huge zoo channel and even one of the admins of the whole server was a zoo.
"Sharing everything with everyone always leads to trouble" You added a word that is incorrect. 'always'. You must be a person who thinks furry conventions are awful and no one should suit outside of their home by that logic. You seek heteronormality and privacy. The government doesn't like privacy, didn't you know? Like the time in Georgia two men having sex were arrested because police broke into their house, their private residence, incorrectly the wrong address, over sodomy laws. They don't care about private spaces, and the internet is not a private space either. Darkweb/ethernet/local connections are the closest thing you can get to 'private networks', but the moment you're on the world wide web? You're not private. Even passworded sites can be broken into.
One last thing. You're comparing zoophilia to transgenderism/gender dysphoria, I hope you're aware they're nothing alike.
I do not see the connection with people being murdered and information destroyed and concentration camps being formed with 'I haven't been pushing my personal business in other people's faces'. At no point did I suggest no one learn or know or share said knowledge on the subject; just if its your personal business, you don't feel a strong need to make it *everyone* else's business. This also is not to say you don't in some way seek others who share your interests. Vilification is, as you say, an attempt to completely suppress something to an extreme degree. It's when, not only do people not want to hear about it, but the very concept of its existence is considered 'vile'. I'm not suggesting that at all.
In reference to your 'keep it in the closet' comment, what would you rather it be? 'Post your life on social media?' Again, remember how you started off your reply? You acted like something was wrong with me sharing my opinion with you based on the fact that you don't know me. Now imagine I had come on here to describe in more detail than you'd like what my sexual orientation was, out of nowhere. Although I'm sure some wouldn't be bothered, and some would be interested, judging from your reaction, you probably wouldn't want to know anything about it. This is what I'm talking about. Some things do not need to be broadcast without consideration.
On the topic of the bestiality posts. They weren't picture galleries, they were journal posts. I saw several, and several more were found and promptly removed, with the accounts banned It was this site, and whether through a sense of not knowing or not caring these people posted guides. This was when there was a search and purge of such things. I don't think the people posting them thought there was anything wrong with the act or the topic, and so they decided to share.
On the topic of 'sharing things'. Again. I don't think there is anything wrong with seeking out people who share similar interests and sharing them. SIMILAR INTERESTS. Take your example of a furry convention. Although things have shifted try telling someone who isn't a furry about you being one. Explain to them the things you've encountered and done, no matter how benign. Nowadays, a lot of them will smile or act surprised, or even give you a laugh and say they knew it all along. But even now, a lot of people will get all the wrong ideas give you the side eye and try to distance themselves from you, thinking you're just some weirdo who probably has a fursuit and all the other stereotypical concepts that have plagued furries since they started.
Also, do me the favor of not tagging me with your 'titles' or telling me what I'm after. You don't know me, remember? I didn't type that reply to be disrespectful. This is just a discussion. Let's try not to get hostile for no reason.
Addressing the concept of privacy. This is my entire point. Your example is a bit off the mark, a bit on. Those men were keeping their actions to themselves. The fact that the government bust into their home mistakenly and arrested them is an outlier, not the rule. Ha, imagine if every time someone tried to keep something to themselves, the police kicked down their door and arrested them! Sneak out and buy some of your favorite ice cream to eat while on a diet, hide in your room to eat it and SWAT comes smashing through your window. xD
But yes, the internet is basically public. So, to me, just like you wouldn't go posting your credit card info online and expect nothing to happen, you shouldn't be on here randomly sharing *personal* things without first knowing the people you're sharing with can be trusted. Remember your talking about furry conventions? It's called that because a bunch of furries connected to each other, people they could trust with that knowledge and who understood what it means to be one, and made a place where sharing that stuff was safer and more enjoyable. They still interact with people who are not furry, but its done in a way that puts a positive spin and good face to it. I've been to Anthrocon and the people and stores in the area love seeing the convention when it arrives... but to be fair, its as much for the spectacle and entertainment, as well as the increased revenue in the area as anything else. And it forms a... a conduit of sorts as well. People who are curious about furry, or who are already furry but keeping it to themselves, see there's a larger group than they maybe knew, and can seek to become a part of it. With a much lesser risk of the person they're interacting with reacting with violent disgust or some other negative reaction.
And that was what I was trying to say. Yes, the internet is wide open in terms of keeping things private. Just about everyone has something they are into, or enjoy, or do, or consider a part of themselves that is going to get a negative reaction from someone else. And so putting those things out online is to me the *worst* idea. You have to find your crowd, make trustworthy friends, and run with them, not just expose yourself and expect no one to take a shot at you.
'Asshole' is a term quite often associated with men.
In fact, 'asshole' is commonly seen as the masculine form of 'bitch' these days.
Example:
Women are called bitches.
Men are called assholes.
Want a non-gendered insult?
Call them 'idiots'.
EVERYBODY IS CALLED AN IDIOT REGARDLESS OF GENDER.
Listen. If you're nasty and smelly and tend to spew shit when your hole is opened, you're an asshole.
Think about it for a bit, and you'll see how many people, gender aside, that applies to.
...do you really believe the stuff you just typed? No judgement at all, just looking for confirmation.
Just a few questions: Do you think these hispanics are the only ones who fall into those catagories? No white people ever do those things? And do you feel like every single hispanic fits into one of those catagories?
At the end of the day, respect is a two way street.
I also don't recall any previous instances of my claiming that I didn't understand you.
And you have me blocked, which means that it's violation of the COC to contact me.
If you wish to talk to me, grow a fuckin pair and unblock me.
You come from a society that 'Demands respect' instead of 'Offers respect'. We're two different paths. I believe that respect is given until lost. If someone tells me I called them the wrong pronouns, I'll gladly apologize and use the correct. It doesn't hurt me. If someone yells at me over it, I'll still use the correct pronouns, but they lose respect from me. I'd rather not be an asshole back to them. Don't let assholes turn you into an asshole, so to speak.
There's a lot of brainworms in the media these days. You seem to fall for a few of them, but you're not as bad as people like Wollypegger in your comments. You still stand your perspective, even if it's a biased one, and you don't let your actions get dictated by who's in charge, like some of the sheep fuckers I've met in recent years. Politicians aren't your gods, y'know? They're CIVIL SERVANTS, they're your fucking servants, mate. They're supposed to do work for you, not make you work for them, y'know?
>w>... Anyways... You attract some dangerous people to your comments sections, why do you not curate it from time to time? Their words are poison to some, and can infect others. Many of them just just spout shit about immigrants and trans people that the politicians and 'mouth pieces' in media tell them to spout, they can't even make a thought for themselves... Kinda sad, really... I hope they get better! 'w'! You've gotten better, Karno, if... You still get some facts wrong; we all make mistakes and flub, and misinformation is rampant on the internet these days! ;w;!

Yeah... highly unintentional, cant make this shit up...
Frankly, happy that the US at least its legal to own military hardware, unlucky no one with it was close enough to paint the interior red with a 50cal straight through the windshield of the helo.
North Carolina was where people were threatening to shoot FEMA workers because they were "government agents." Pretty sure that thirteen thousand pounds of UH-60 smashing down, out of control, on top of aid workers would not have been preferable to having a few tents blow away. The first and best solution to any problem is almost never "shoot them."
I think the person above you is referring to the Texas Blackouts during the ice storm, in which Biden did send relief, but the blackouts occurred because the Texas grid is NOT FEDERAL, thus cannot be federally maintained, literally not the federal government's fault, it's the state government's, and when it happened, the republicans literally fled the state to stay warm and didn't help their people.
I'm trying to remember the term for how people who grow accustomed to echo chambers become increasingly hostile towards even slight dissent from the groupthink. "It's not enough to be vegetarian, you have to be full vegan! Or else you're worse than Adolph!"
It's a narrow category of supremacy—a type of bigotry—and the outrage is very similar to a pale-skinned black person passing as white, and the kind of people who would get outraged at that "theft" of their specialness (as if being white were anything unique or noteworthy). These are probably also people who are amazed at their own amazingness that they managed to graduate high school. You and a quarter billion other people, buddy.
I really didn't have to do much to get married. It wasn't that much of an accomplishment. I found a person I wanted to live with, filled out some paperwork, had a preacher say some magic spells over a ring, and hey presto. Two other people being allowed to do the same thing means absolutely nothing to the twenty-five years I've been married, regardless of who those two (or more) people are—gay, straight, trans, black, asian, atheist, Hindu, whatever.
I think things would be a lot better if people would get over themselves. You're NOT special. You're one ant among eight billion. Your mere existence does not entitle you to any privileges or judgments about anybody else's life. We're all mutants, and we all have to share the only planet in the entire universe we know we can live on.
