I feel like you might be looking at it a bit awkwardly. What i mean by that is most of the people who were affected were common workers; they had jobs that allowed them to live their lives decently. Firing all those people didn't 'reduce the size of the government'... if you look at what's going on, what's changed at all? Nothing really; it's just business as usual. All that happened was a bunch of people with stable jobs are now unemployed.

They also cut or restricted a lot of things they probably shouldn't like FEMA and the service that tracks and reports on hurricanes, and the parks service personnel. A lot got cut away without actually reducing the government at all. And now that money is being repurposed for frankly stupid things. They want 2 billion to beautify Washington... after cutting it's budget by 1 billion and putting them in a financial hole. They trying to distribute military to places that don't want or need them... instead of just increasing funds to local law enforcement.

I do not see the connection with people being murdered and information destroyed and concentration camps being formed with 'I haven't been pushing my personal business in other people's faces'.
