I wanted to talk about this for quite a long time.
I love macaque monkeys. They're one of my favorite animals for quite a lot of reasons. But do you know what I'm really not a fan of? Those YouTube videos where they take macaque monkeys and dress them up in diapers or some other clothes that were meant for human babies and toddlers, and they force them do walk upright and do tricks like they're some kind of circus animal. It may look cute to you, but I can't bear to imagine what goes on behind the scenes of those videos. And I especially hate the videos where they show people torturing, abusing, and perhaps even killing monkeys for the sake of people's pleasure. I don't understand what kind of sick, messed up fantasy the people watching those videos have.
And another thing. I don't think apes and monkeys should be kept as pets. They're far too dangerous. They may look cute when they're babies, but as they get older, they get more violent and aggressive. I mean, have you heard what happened to that one chimpanzee named Travis? If not, then I think there are a number of videos about it that you could check out on YouTube.
I completely agree with you, I hate those videos of baby monkeys where theyre dressed like toddlers because they do not feel comfortable in clothes, and neither should they be kept as pets because theyre silvester animals! Its so cruel, I hate it.
That is a dangerous tunnel to venture down. YT's algorithm loves to see that 'you' have found one video about 'Topic X'. Then, it pushes the whole river down upon you.
Nope. No monkey videos for me. Why, it seemed like the algorithm caught fire on 'How to tell if you are having a stroke.' video for about a week with me. Now it's back to mostly gaming and random Furry suggested videos, along with a dash of politics and worldly destruction warnings. 'Did you know that Yellowstone could erupt any day now?' (Or in a million years. Nobody really knows.)
