"Why No OC's?" - Update on Future Plans

Hey there! A quick "thank you" again to anyone who's followed me!
Now, I know that likely none of you up to this point has really asked, "why no OC's?", but I wanted to elaborate a little bit because things are about to change.
When I took back up drawing, it has been literally years since I'd drawn anything other then my fursona on a check for a waiter at a restaurant, or an occasional customer of my eBay store. Back when I WAS drawing consistently, most of it was pretty much just Sonic the Hedgehog characters.
So the main focus up to this point has been, "I'm rusty and I'm inexperienced drawing anything outside of this niche and I need some practice". The decision was made early on that I wanted to draw a bunch of established characters, starting with things I've drawn before - and then quickly move into characters with familiar designs - to then ones I've never drawn before or are really foreign in design for me.
However, now that it's been a few months, I reached a point where I felt I had gotten back into the groove enough to be able to create some new, original furry characters.
So tomorrow, I'm uploading a fursona "explainer" piece of Pounce - the guy who's in my avatar. After that will be a bunch of art of new characters, and eventually, me putting them into different scenes and scenarios.
So the point of this little journal is just to let you now that the fan art will be slowing down quite a bit, so that I can focus on developing these characters. I will still do some from time to time, when inspired, or when I just need a break from the challenges of doing original stuff, but yeah.
Also, I might post a little more about the world that my characters inhabit - I've been dreaming up a whole world building thing with it that I hope someone will find interesting or enjoyable.
It's a little scary TBH - I don't really know if I'll find an audience with these characters or world, but if you stick with me through it, I will greatly appreciate it. 💜
