Being NOT a fan of humans yet living as one..
It's not always easy, but it's necessary. It's not about hating yourself or hating others but simply to refuse to glorify the human species. This fandom being one of the few places where humans are not the norm is what makes it so important to me. A place which shows people are still capable to identify, empathize or even look up to something else despite the social pressure and mainstream trends shifting towards ideas of human superiority, species narcissism and rejecting any sort of otherness. All which also have made society regress towards other forms of extremism.. On sites like this, creativity and expression are far more important than whatever color, nationality or religion people can have.
I felt the need to express it after seeing yet another case of someone ditching the fandom and their own oc over social pressure.
