I delayed putting up a new journal to replace the obligatory Christmas entry for so long that I can now replace it with the obligatory New Year's entry. :D

So Happy New Year, unless you live in Australia or something, in which case you're already living in the future, and have probably evolved to some kind of awesome energy being of the type seen in about five or six episodes of Star Trek.

Oh right.

So usually I make a silly resolution that is ridiculously easy to follow, such as not causing the Earth to fall into the sun (07), not setting myself on fire (05), or not directly causing the extinction of the Human race (this last year).

But I think for 2010 (which I'll be pronouncing "twenty-ten", by the way, since it sounds more future-y), I'll make an actual resolution for a change.

I resolve to be more positive in the new year. I always try to keep up a lighthearted appearance on FA, but I've actually been feeling fairly down for a while now. It's been affecting my writing, my sleeping patterns, and my interactions with other people. I found myself mouthing off to a few people I cared about last night, and when one of them called me on it, I realized I was letting myself wallow in these feelings. I'm going to shake off this apathy and feel good for a change. u_u

Hey, if nothing else, my writing will surely benefit from it.

So have a Happy New Year, FA, and here's hoping 2010 goes better than 2009 for all of us. I'm already looking forward to my flying car and robot butler. n_n
