Regarding Nintendo

Rawr!!! XD
So...with Nintendo patenting the concept of "throwing objects at fantasy monsters to tame them and having them fight", does this mean I'll get sued if I create a fantasy monster pet simulator?
Say, if it's more along the lines of Neopets or even Spore in which you pick a species and create your own pet to care for and dress up? And if it's this but has elements of games like Slime Rancher where you grow food for them and earn coins by caring for them?
Would that be distinct enough to be outside their patent or would they see it as "too similar" to Pokémon?
Who am I kidding, it's Nintendo. They'll probably come at me for using the general idea of "fantasy monster" outside the video game realm without the bells and whistles... >_<

It's striaght up preventing Pokemon fan games ...
I hope that the patent doesn't cover the entire "fantasy monster" genre. Because if it does...then the game industry is just dead at that point.
Pretty sure something like a mini Hastur or Cthulhu as a little friend isn't the same as having an electric rodent fighting other superpowered animals. XD
Because they'd probably make some bullshit excuse to get me for "patent infringement" even though they don't have a patent for "keeping tiny versions of Lovecraft's creatures as pets in a game that's a free love letter to his work".
