My Thoughts Recently...
Greetings. This is a bit of a long read, but I just a have a couple things I wanted to get off my chest due to recent events. Please read only if you have time to spare ❤️
There is a difference between being verbal and physical that people seem to be getting backwards these days. It feels like whenever someone says the wrong thing to someone else, they physically hurt and/or send them out on a stretcher. This especially happens when there is a misunderstanding. This is NOT how we should be doing things.
What we as a society need to do a little more often is to please STOP TAKING THINGS PERSONALLY. There are millions of people in the world and one of them is bound to say something you dislike. You have to learn to live with it. Be the better person for simply just disagreeing with what they say and going about your day. Hopefully the other individual does the same in return, and you both grow better as a person. And that is it! Simply SPEAKING about your counterarguments. Is this not how we do debates or how we can try to get a better understanding of each other?
Now we seem to be at a point where some individuals are so concerned that they feel to they have to take matters into their own hands, brandishing a weapon of their choosing and making said person they dislike their next target. This is downright detestable. Is this the message you want to send to people? Physically harming someone because you feel they SPOKE the wrong thing? Anyone who thinks this is out of their mind.
I am sure many of you know who this post is referring to. He did not deserve this. No one does. I do not agree nor condone them being taken out in such a way. I will also add that the person who carried out this measure should be put in jail. For good. This is not Justice, this is straight-up murder. This is like slaying a bully in person just because they kept saying mean things to you.
Do not get me wrong. If there is someone out there that has done a heinous act, a PHYSICAL crime to a REAL LIVE person I should add, I would very much agree that they should be taken off the street, put before a Judge and put in jail. Hence, the perpetrator who took on this egregious act. It should also be a Judge that also has no biases and who only focuses on the matter at hand.
To anyone who celebrates the death of this person, fine. I cannot stop you. If that is how you feel, that is how you feel. Just remember, this can also be you. This can me. This can literally be anyone else on this planet that someone can turn into stone in an instant. You may be happy someone you dislike is stripped of their life, but remember that you are only encouraging this wrongdoing.
One last thing. I am a neutral party in all of this. I do not have a political stance, even though I dislike all of them. I am just a gay guy trying to go about his life and has hopes that we all do the same without harming ourselves and anyone else. We should not be going about our days filled with anger and hate. We should be helping each other out when we can, be humble and respectful towards everyone around us, and live life with hope that a little more humanity is restored each passing day. I love you all, stay safe, and have a good day ❤️

This person have done way more then "speaking words that hurted people". As a public speaker, he puts all his money, time and power in the sole goal to do harm to those he deemed unacceptable.
His action have led to a lot of actual physical harm then you seem to realize, and it has been proven more then once that debating with him and anyone defending his position was a lost cause, as they just move the goal post whenever cornered.
I don't know you but you literally pinged me, among others, so I red you and decided to share some thought about parts you might have overlooked.
Stay safe. Peace.
Be it on a human level or even on political one, taking someone down doesn't bring much.
And I'll be clear that I am no on this man's political board. I think he have spread a very heinous narrative over the years. But his death is not a powerful action against his words.
I stand my ground that he was a harmful man (and yes, i watched the video you shared, but won't comment in detail on it here). And I maintain that killing him brought nothing good.
What I tried to point at is that "he's a man that only spoke his opinion and got killed for it" is a very shallow analysis of the situation and that standing this ground without more critical thinking can leave someone very open to manipulation. I don't think GMX's heart is missplaced. I just think he didn't red that much into the reason some had such a strong resentment against this man and should look a bit more through before pinging everyone on a server with a post like this one.
Speech alone does not cause physical harm, this is a nod to Lorhyena.
No speech, no matter how hard to swallow, if it isn't a direct call for violence it does not cause physical harm.
You have overlooked nothing, you landed a perfect bullseyes, GMX.
Godspeed to you and let's hope for better times.
That was a cowardly and despicable action..
I don't condone violence, but if someone has it coming, they have it coming.
What actions did he do other than debate with others who were at odds with him? What crime warranted that he should be publicly executed in front of thousands of people from both sides who were there willing to hear him out and argue with his beliefs, in front of his own wife and kids no less?
People keep screaming he’s a fascist and intolerable, yet by cheering on the death of a man who wanted to get people into politics to debate and argue about what their views are and how they stack up, don’t realize that they have become the very evil they claim others are. They themselves are the very definition of fascist, those willing to silence any and all opposition to their demands and social justice by any means necessary, including threats of violence, intimidation, assault, and worst of all done, murder.
You say you don’t condone violence, well you instantly lost any credibility by saying he had it coming. You don’t just condone violence, you clearly support it.
Debating what, ChesireFox? What exactly was he debating against? And say the answer out loud for the whole class to hear. Enlighten me.
And judging by how toxic your immediate response to me was, I’m betting that any information you learned about Charlie Kirk was second hand from people who are incredibly biased against him, and are equally as toxic as you are. And I’m also betting that you never sat through a whole video of his debates that wasn’t edited to make him sound like nazi propaganda, because you are brainwashed by a one sided political media machine that is designed to manipulate people like you into believing every toxic lie that they create, and rage against ANYONE who points out the flaws of that narrative, all while believing that they are the ones in the right.
You have your opinions and I have mine, but I have listened to arguments from both sides and so far only one side can back it up without resorting to insults. Can you say the same?
And while we’re at it, you still haven’t justified why you condone murdering a public speaker in cold blood, so please, Enlighten us. Share with the rest of us how you are right in that?
By the way, I am absolutely calling you out on your bullshit.
Unless you are opposed to the words of a gay man of color?

And I've already answered your question in my first comment, and will not back down from statement. You're saying he was challenging people to question their beliefs, and I asked you what beliefs. I said he was spreading racist and misogynistic ideals that lead to harming others. I'm waiting on your answer to that.
And please don't play the "gay POC" card at me. I am a gay, black male. The video was mainly Odom dancing around the fact that he was spreading harmful ideology by saying he wasn't frothing at the mouth. Even mean people can speak kindly.
And to answer your other question: if you keep poking and prodding a beehive, don't be surprised if they sting. I'm sorry it sounds cold, but I can't feel sorry for a man who made a living out of questioning whether people like me, my friends, and family deserve basic rights.
Maybe (at most) he did provoke the beehive from a distance with just words, but the bees should have just ignored him.
Amir Odom is a YouTuber who makes videos of his own takes regarding political issues, weighing in on them and giving his own opinions and pointing out the faults found in the issues. I also recommend that you follow, like and subscribe to his Channel, as well as other channels such as DeVory Darkins, LFR Jojo, and Amala Ekpunobi, and see what their takes are on various other issues that take place all around the country.
Although politics play a crucial role in every society, no one should focus on such too much, lest they devolve into obsession that drives away friends and family. All of us have lives, so did Kirk and his family.
When it comes to debates nowadays, especially concerning about something controversial, where's humility and self-control? Even in matter of victory or defeat?
All of us may have different tastes and opinions, but we must always be civil in not just listening to each other's views and taking them with a grain of salt, but also in treating them with politeness and respect.
Because at the end of the day, we should be thankful that few countries like the United States encourages freedom of speech, even if one topic is deemed discomforting. We should also be reminded that other countries like the mainland China are certainly or very strict on such a social concept, and may even resort to silence those who speak out against them. Even if one government decides to effectively take away all guns from civilians, that won't stop criminals from hurting others, they'll instead switch to knives, pipes and even ramming people with vehicles. It's in our nature to sometimes react to certain things with violence, but it's also important for us to develop self-restraint, as it is vital to building and maintaining a civil society, with flaws and all. Taking someone like Kirk out with violence just for speaking out is immature at best and barbaric at worst. Such violence should no longer be tolerated neither acceptable in every debate, even for an ill-prepared or ill-informed opponent.
We people must be better than this, he's already in the better place, but we must pray for his family and their safety. But if someone wishes to celebrate his death without shame or care, they have the right to do, but they better do that privately and not publicize themselves like that, it's making them and their allies alike look bad. Not even a good amount of justification from them will excuse their reaction to his abrupt passing.
A pen might be mightier than a sword, but that alone sparks motivation or encouragement, nothing physical. Action itself speaks louder than words, and that promotes actual fulfillment. If someone gets hurt by words more than by action, then they better need to wise up and mature, because some day they may fall into a manipulator who can take advantage of their feelings.
Regarding violence though, I hate to say it, but we people are definitely no better than the very worst people you mentioned, because as much as I learned through their actually, surprisingly good/normal deeds (such as Hitler's promotion of vegetarianism and animal rights, and bin Laden's secret interest in video games for example), like it or not, we are human beings, we are prone to making mistakes (whether accidentally or not), but we also have the right to learn from them and become better people. Charlie was a human being, and so were Hitler and bin Laden, and so even were Martin Luther King Jr., Maria Theresa, Gandhi, and any other good person you can think, because we are all borne as people, we're never perfect to begin with, but we can make things better. We don't live in a world divided by absolute good and evil, we commit good and bad deeds at the same time. And, that is why we must learn to be better than what's happening right now. We must not dwell too much in the past.
Ideology is an instrument of power, a defense mechanism against information, a pretext for eluding moral constraints in doing or approving evil with a clean conscience, and finally a way of banning the criterion of experience- That is, of completely eliminating or indefinitely postponing the pragmatic criteria of success and failure.

Now, really how arch
can you be when you march
with a spear:
With A sword?
You belong to a curious team,
you’re in the extreme,
maybe left,
maybe right.
maybe wrong.
