Nintendo Direct September 2025 Thoughts and Stuff

General
Well, we finally had a big Nintendo Direct and it was indeed quite big in multiple ways. So I decided to write my thoughts about parts of it down. Yes, only parts because otherwise it would be a very long journal...
- Super Mario Galaxy Movie: We didn't really get to see much of it, but with the Mario Galaxy games as the base of the movie it seems like it will be even better than the first one. I wonder what Rosalina's role in it will be.
- Super Mario Bros Wonder Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Bellabel Park & Knuckles Featuring Dante from the Devil May Cry series plus new Funky Mode Remake Intergrade: I personally don't care about the multiplayer stuff (but good for those who do), but they did tease new singleplayer content as well, so I hope we finally get real boss battles.
- Yoshi learns how to read: The concept of Yoshi exploring the inside of a book can be used for some interesting stuff, like traveling into outer space and such.
- Tomodachi Life: I'm a bit worried about that game, honestly. How good it will be will be largely determined by the question if it has the Miitopia customization or not. I don't think I have to explain why...
- FFVII Remake Intergrade: It's a good game that looks like it will run well on the Switch 2. And January should be a good release time without much competition.
- Hades II: I didn't know that Jolyne Cujoh is the main character of the game. But it makes sense that she goes after fighting Made in Heaven to fighting Kronos. While I didn't play the first game, I might pick this one up, as it will at least make the wait for Z-A feel shorter.
- Virtual Boy: The sheer audacity. On one hand it's great that Nintendo wants to conserve the Virtual Boy in some way, but it's the Virtual Boy. We'll see how it will actually end up...
- Metroid Prime 4: So, Samus rides a bike, does typical Samus stuff, meets Sylux, drops the release date in December and leaves without saying a single word, probably to go back to riding her bike. Cool.
- Pokopia: One of the best games of the Direct. That's not a joke. Aside from the confirmation that Ditto can not only copy humans but also change its body at will, it's a mix of Animal Crossing and Minecraft with talking Pokémon. How could that be not great?
- Legends Z-A: I did not expect anything about Z-A in the Direct at all, but got 5 new mega evolutions and 3 of them are the Kalos starters. And I really like them a lot. It's just too bad that I have other projects on my list, otherwise I would do something with them...
- RE9: I'm not really a RE fan myself, but it's a very good sign that it does release on the Switch 2 on the same day as on the other platforms.
- Fire Emblem Fortune's Weave: A new Fire Emblem game? One that is connected to Three Houses, one of the best games of the series? One that doesn't take place in a school or is just a glorified Fire Emblem Heroes commercial? One with an actual story? Yeah, I'm looking forward to it.
Well, I have some things to look forward to.

FA+

Since Pokopia is made also by Koei Tecmo, who apparently did a great job with Dragon Quest Builders 2, I'm sure that it will be great.
As for the end of the Direct, the new Fire Emblem is a very major deal. I guess you didn't play Three Houses or Fire Emblem at all, but I can say that if they take Three Houses and make it even better Fortune's Weave will become the best game of the series.
