Mons mons and...more mons--all the mons!

I love mons >3>
As a kid I grew up with 90's cartoons--as we well remember--Pokemon, Digimon, Yu-Gi-Oh (to name a few) have fueled my love of monsters and now, as an adult-kid, that remains unchanged.
This is to say: I would like to draw more monster art.
The recent ongoing monster hype may be edging me on too...how can I not be excited? With so much news and reveals over Pokemon megas (I have words, but that's a whole different conversation. I'm not writing this to talk Pokemon), as well as new Digimon reveals (for the upcoming games).
You have other mon games in their spotlights, such as Honkai: Nexus Anima coming soon (super adorable monsters by the way), Aniimo (An open-world ARPG one).
Of course Palworld, being a hot topic for reasons (we all know them).
Temtem doing its own thing in the background.
Monster Hunter Stories, focusing on befriending their mons (instead of, you know, hunting them down).
Cassette Beasts (I hear good things; I would like to play this one).
Older games, such as the mostly forgotten about Spectrobes, published by Disney (Personally, I love the mons in Spectrobes! I have a soft spot for them)
Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World (anyone remember those wii days?) had its little mon bit.
I mean, the list goes on and on. So many I didn't mention here, so many probably on the horizon yet to be revealed. Many follow the Pokemon formula, naturally, others are trying new directions and making their own unique spins on the genre.
For me, personally, the more monsters the better! I adore them, I don't care how much one is like the other. If there can be a dozen among dozens of cozy farm games, there can be dozens of monster-collecting games too (I just want my fun monsters okay ;w; )
And yes, I have my own thing of monsters too.
I just never got around to developing my concept far enough to start posting them. But maybe I will soon! With all the inspiration I have lately for monsters, maybe that'll be the push I need.
Okay, enough of drooling over monster talk haha
Made it this far did ya? Well, thank you for reading! I'm glad I didn't bore you too much. Is there a monster game out there you can recommend to me? Either to play, or draw from! That's NOT Pokemon, I mean, that franchise gets an ocean of attention. I want to draw mons from other series.
If anyone has recommendations, I'm all ears~~!

Glad to hear someone from someone else who still loves mon stuff, whether it's in games or shows! Though if you want something to draw from, how about Legendz? It's from the same team behind Digimon, and has some cool-looking mon designs!

If you have a 3ds or ds i have several. monster racers 2d racers with catchable mons as the characters, fossil fighters pokemon with dinos really interesting battle system, monster tale not a monster catcher per-say but one mon with different forms based on how you raise it this onee interesting because its a metroidvania with a little v pet in the bottom screen to raise the little guy, dsi for this one foto showdown take pictures and get a mon based on the picture you took, nexomon a monster tameing game that has a story that's the opposite of what pokemon tells you but doesn't take it self too seriously. Sorry if this is long im a big mon fan 😅
