It is amazing how 'Some' manage to be ignored/excused for so long, while 'One of us' is instantly 'Warned/Punished' for using a common word, EXACTLY AS IT MEANS, isn't it?

It's almost like the FA Gods have a private agenda that curries favor towards 'Some,' while actively suppressing/censoring/banning 'Others,' isn't it?

Surely I can't be correct in this observation, could I?

I wasn’t going to go into the hypocrisy of moderation, though it certainly does seem to exist.

The scariest thing about this person is in my honest opinion if they do get ostracized from any given community that they will lash back in very real ways.

If this user is who I think it is(someone with a photo of a paw as a user icon, amirite?), I'm a little disturbed as to why they haven't been dealt with by administration by now. However, I will posit that this person will do anything to 'win' an argument including reporting anyone they think they can get away with reporting. The targets of their derision, on the other hand, seem a bit thicker skinned and less petty and probably don't report them.

Again, if this is the same person I'm thinking about they're not much younger than my parents and have demonstrated an almost juvenile stubbornness to 'win' arguments and 'own' others. Telling others they're cowards for blocking them and going out of their way to respond to them is quite classy, I'd say. At this point I don't care if they get 86'd from the site, I'm done debating with them as they're unwilling to listen to anything even remotely approaching reason.

That said, I will say that reporting someone can be effective(at least in my experience). I had an ex who was basically cyberstalking me here and spinning up alt accounts to circumvent my blocking her. I reported her accounts and they banned her despite an obvious left-wing political bias in her comments.

Yeah, that person's becoming a problem. However, the second they try to harass me after my blocking them is going to result in my reporting them. Their 'I don't block anyone so anyone blocking me is a coward for not letting me verbally abuse them' attitude is a real class act.

At the very least they suspended my ex's alt accounts; she hadn't been on her main ones in many years so I'm pretty certain she realized that I'd blocked her. I recall that she saw my YouTube recommendations pointing me towards centrist and conservative content and she started harping on me to watch hard-left socialist/borderline communist content. That wasn't the reason I kicked her to the curb, but it was a contributing factor. :P

I know exactly who you're talking about, I think, I blocked them after my last tit for tat with them a long time ago. I just can't talk to someone that goes,

"No. Nuh-uh. No it's not. That's not true. No. You're stupid."

They want you to post reputable sources, but any source shown isn't going to be reputable unless it's from a source that they approve of. When grilled for their reputable sources, they don't show any. Because I or you have to educate ourself or yourself. They can't be bothered. It's just true because they said so.

Pretty much. And, I've noticed that they will completely contradict themselves from one comment to the next and when you don't take their ragebait as well as throw scads of sources at them they basically ragequit the debate. Their sources also consist of a couple of very heavily biased websites and opinion pieces and that's about it.

Incredibly childish and/or trollish behavior in my opinion, and it probably can't be fixed.

I don't keep up with the news like I should, so I stepped away from the rage bait and debate bait comments. I like to read over them from time to time for entertainment. Yes, sadly, I find the hypocrisy a little entertaining. I can see what's happening, but I am not a master debater nor do I have any sources outside of some content creators online and local news radio when I am driving to and from work. I just don't have the energy to talk in circles anymore or to try and call them out on it. Honestly, if anyone should be banned for rude behavior it's them.

That's totally fair; I tend to not keep my eyes on current events all that much anymore for similar reasons. I'll mainly step in when someone is being obnoxious about a stance I know quite a bit about(in many cases involving this person, they're very much anti-2A and I'm about as pro-2A as it gets). However, the quarreling gets very tiresome and I've bowed out of it for the most part; I just think that some people thrive off the anger and rage and unfortunately this person is one of them. :/

Yeah, I had a problem with that )*( this week. I posted a question on somebody else's journal: I've been asking this question all week. I keep hearing 'fascist', 'Nazi', 'Hitler' bandied about. I also look around and the most fascist activity I'm seeing is the Antisemitism that's choking the country. Could someone please tell me what the political affiliation of the antisemitic people is? I'm pretty sure they aren't Conservatives, especially observing mister Madman¡ Mamdani and his rhetoric.I blocked that person years ago so they attacked me on one of the Journal's poster's comment and called me a bigot. What bigoted thing did I say? After all, the political candidate I mentioned has publicly avowed being antisemitic. I made a complaint to the Immoderators and received the response "Thank you for letting us know! I have investigated your issue and have taken all appropriate action based upon Fur Affinity's community guidelines," which means they deleted the offensive remark. The person who owns the Journal has already blocked him. Slap on the wrist; he was still active the next day.

I got a temporary ban for trying to post an apology to a user who blocked me, so how that guy is allowed to harass you in journals is beyond hypocrisy in the moderation here! (And yes I actually read the one you referred to, took a lot to not go after him for calling you of all people a bigot!)

Does he reflect the site's inclinations? They still have a Black Lives Matter section. I approve of the basic concept of BLM but all the millions of dollars they have taken in have gone to enrich a few people. Yes, that's documented in many places.
