Thoughts on FA's New Story Embeds?

General
FA just rolled out a pretty substantial update for how prose and stories are displayed. How are all y'all feeling about it? Historically I've uploaded PDF documents for folks who want something to download, and included the full text of the story in the post's description field (leveraging FA's bold, italics, and other formatting when possible.) I've always appreciated being able to quickly skim a story, Ctrl-F for a specific theme or term, and generally just have a more pleasant reading experience on mobile devices.
Now that FA shows an embed of PDF or text file uploads, has anyone's reading habits changed on the site? Any new norms I should keep my head on a swivel for? I don't currently have any plans to change how I upload stories, but I figured I'd toss out a quick journal to see where everyone's at.
I hope to get back into writing soon! This summer's been a little hectic. Lookin' forward to some cozy fall vibes soon.

Also, excited to work with you again! I would like to make real a Minotaur tf story with you
My preferred way of reading things is as direct text, no PDF, no embeds, just a text post like any other site. Markdown would be better than bbcode, but I use TwistedSnakes’ converter anyway so I really don’t care. If there was an option to paste direct text as the main post instead of as a file I would use that, but just pasting in the description has always been close enough.
I do think not needing to click “download” is important. I used to be a timid lurker myself and even though most browsers didn’t actually save the pdf to disk it still scared me. So in that way the embed is better, it just needs some work for mobile.
It’s sooo nice.
It lets me look at the tags, comments and author notes quickly.
I agree with donedone that my top preference is just for authors to post the text itself.
