Terrible News - My Dog has bone cancer
This morning in my country, I received the worst news of my life.
My Rottweiler, Arya, had a bad case of limping. For anyone unaware, she was ill last year but was treated (and I must again give thanks to everyone who donated to make her feel better) but later this year she had another illness. It was a tick born disease that caused her to limp and she had an enlarged heart. I managed to buy her medicines and she was starting to feel better. Earlier this month, the limp was back and it was as bad as before (it was to the point that she couldn't put her left forelimb on the ground because of the pain).
Last Thursday, I went to the vet, and she had an X-ray. The results and after some consultation from a Veteran Vet (the one I visited was just local), the Vet concluded that she had Bone Cancer that started in the elbow bone of her left forelimb. The X-Ray results had shown that the cancer had already spread to her lungs. As of now, she is still normal save for the limp, but the Vet says it will get worse and she only has months to live.
I was heartbroken and I cried so terribly. I am rather fine now, but deep down I am still very sad. I thank my family for comforting me, and while it is still hard for me to accept, I must understand that she lived a long life for a Rottweiler (she is 9 years old now).
I have one commission still in progress (it started back in Mid-August) but I will go on a commissioning hiatus indefinitely. I will focus on spending time with Arya and making sure her last months will be happy and comfy.
EDIT: I will consider Fundraiser to raise Arya's utilities, medicines for pain relief and eventually Euthanasia and Cremation services. I cannot bear the idea of her wasting on the ground. She deserves better than that.
EDIT: I have recently made a Fundraiser, link here: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/62292119/

If I decide on that, I will post a journal about it.
You have my prayers, and I hope your cherish the time you have with your dog.
I wish you two the best and hope that he'll get the treatment he deserves.
Thank you so much.
I'm so sorry that Arya is having to deal with such a horrid disease. She has been given one of the best people to care for her all these years. I hope that your fundraiser goes well and you not only hit your goal, but smash it through the ceiling.
