Sorry for Delays
I forgot to post info on it here, mostly been communicating about it on BSKY, but my dog had to go in for emergency surgery a few nights ago because she was not acting right at all. Got her in and they immediately did an ultrasound because they thought it might be bloat, turns out it was a 6lb mass in her spleen. We had the option of putting her down on the spot or attempting surgery, one where she could likely die on the operating table. We decided to give her the best fighting chance and went for the surgery. The doctors were absolutely incredible and got her through it, removing the mass and sending it off for biopsy to see if it’s malignant or not. I haven’t heard back on that yet as it will likely take close to a week to get the results, but I was able to take her home the day after.
She’s been home and resting and I’m just SO glad she’s here and didn’t die alone in the strange vet place. She takes round the clock care and supervision since it was invasive abdominal surgery and she’s kind of a butt head and wants to move more than she should. I’ve been taking the overnight shifts and getting a nap in once the rest of the household wakes up and can take over; suffice to say, I haven’t been able to get much done.
On top of that, my grandfather collapsed yesterday due to a slow heart rhythm and had to be put in for emergency pacemaker surgery, so we’ve been having to deal with that and ferrying everyone to and from the hospital (1.5 hours away) as well as coordinating with the doctors since my grandmother isn’t mentally sound enough to be the contact.
SO… thank you all so much for your patience. It’s been… a lot, and I’m really mentally exhausted, as well as physically. If you have concerns about your commissions or anything, feel free to contact me, but I can’t guarantee I will respond for a bit. I get a bit of time around 4am to noodle at comms, energy permitting, but stuff has definitely slowed down to a crawl. I will likely be pausing subscribestar next month so I can have time to catch up on rewards.
Weh, anyways, thanks ya’ll. Hope you all are doing good and have a fantastic weekend <3
